Did it ever happen to you: you want to write a new blog post / Facebook / Instagram caption…
… but you can’t find the words at all?

The answer about what to write can be simple – ask your ideal customer.

Who?

Ideal customer.

It’s an imaginary person that you create as your dream reader of the blog. This is the person who is for you (and your business or blog) the ideal customer and has its own characteristics. By focusing and accurately determining who your ideal customer is, it will be easier to create new content, products, services. Additionally, it will be tailored to exactly those people (and not everyone). Why is it better? Usually, the problem is that if you are speaking to a wider crowd, there are many people who don’t hear it (if any), if you are speaking to a specific “type” of people they most often hear your message. The information, language, way of expression will be customized to this person. If you have a blog, then this is an ideal reader, if you have a business, then this is a customer.

To get to know this person better, I prepared a freebie to help you answer questions, so you define and get to know your ideal client more precisely. If you take the time, change your mind and answer these questions, I believe that this will be very useful to you the next time you write new content.

First of all, why is such detailed information important? Why is it important to name / what does it do / where does it live? Perhaps you even wonder why this would be relevant?

So. More specifically, you define this person, the more you know her/him, the easier it is to create content/products/posts … you have it on your mind and make it easier to create personalized content for that person. With all this information, you can also find out where your ideal customer is usually located, where is better to pay more attention.

For example: if you are selling children’s clothing, your ideal client is a mom who has a boy – a soccer player. On Sundays they go on trips, they live in a single-family house and are expecting another child. Perhaps it makes sense for you to appear as a sponsor at a football game, perhaps you can write ideas on “where to go for a day trip” on your blog and what is the best fit for children (even from your offer) … This can help you to find out, where it’s better to pay more attention.

Even when you get stuck and you do not know if certain content is appropriate, you just ask yourself if this would like your ideal customer, if so, it’s great – if not, ask yourself what would she like / is interested in what she needs / how you can help her. For a website, this means that the content on the page will be customized exactly to that person. And when such a person comes to the side, she will feel at home.

 

ANALYSIS OF CURRENT CUSTOMERS, WEBSITE VISITORS

If you have a website and web analytics, you can first look at and find out who is your current visitors. Check out where they come from, what is their age, gender…

 

CREATING THE IDEAL CLIENT

Then you define your ideal client in detail. Below you find a complete guide that you can download and use to create an ideal customer/visitor:

 

BASIC DATA:

Name – what’s your name?
Age – how old is she? Write the exact age or year of birth.
Sex – Is It A Man or Woman?
Education – what is her education?
Legal status – What is the legal status? Is your ideal solitary party, married, having a family, having children, having a relationship, is separated …?
Home and living conditions – where is your ideal client living? Is this in the countryside, in the city, on the coast, in the mountain …? Living in a house, a flat, a block, a dwelling house, a multi-apartment house …? Is it in her possession, is renting, living with her parents …?
Employment status – is your ideal client employed, unemployed, has his / her own business?
Monthly salary – what is her monthly income?
What is the biggest problem in life/business – what is its biggest problem in life? What is its biggest business problem?

 

OTHER INFORMATION:

Hobbies, favorite leisure activities – What she prefer to do in life? What are her hobbies?
Values – what is the most important thing in her life? What is here values?
Favorite TV series – favorite TV shows? Even if it does not watch the series, this can be useful information.
Favorite movies – which is her favorite movie?
Favorite magazines – Which magazine is her favorite?
Favorite blogs, websites – Which blog does the read?
Favorite brands (clothes, technical …) – which is her favorite brand (for clothing, apps, kitchen appliances …)?
What she most often looking for online – what is the one thing she most often searched online?
Favorite social networks – Which social network she use? Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest …?

If you have any specific requirements that a customer should have, then add additional pieces of information, which will further benefit you in creating an ideal customer.
